The swimmers have been working very hard this week and , I hope, excited about tomorrow. We want tomorrow to fun for everyone. We have 90 Kings Landing Lionfish  ready to swim.  

Please encourage your swimmers. The coaching staff wants the kids to enjoy themselves but stll focus on their swimming.

Thanks to the parents who have volunteered for tomorrow. 

The weather is rather iffy for tomorrow. I need everyone to show up ready to swim. If it rains too hard , we will have to wait. If there is thunder and/or lighting, we will wait in our cars . If it lasts too long, the meet will be rescheduled with a good chance of the meet finishing either Monday or Thursday evening.  Bring rain gear, sweatshirts for your swimmers, and pop up tents if you have one.

Most Common Mistakes

DQ’s  walking in the water, rolling over on stomach to finish backstroke, 2 hand touch on breast and back  , backstroke turns, illegal kick breaststroke

6 swimmers per event, extra heats in Free and back

Stay away from water during meet

Tonight at Kings Landing Pool there will be an informational meeting- Summer Swim League 101.

Coach Matt will be giving information to the swimmers while I speak to the parents.

If you are new to summer swim team , please attend.

There will be 2 sessions
5-5:45  10 and younger  swimmers' parents
6- 6:45  11 and older  swimmers' parents

If you have swimmers in both groups, pick 1 session.

Metro Swim Shop will have team suits, practice suits and goggles for sale tonight at HAC

Team members need a competition suit for meets . You may purchase a team suit, a green suit, a green and black suit or an all black suit.

I will have Kings Landing caps for everyone next week.

Evaluations are held Monday and Wednesday from 4:45 - 5:00 pm  or 6:45 pm on Mondays and 6:30 on Wednesdays.

  2017 Season Kings Landing Swim Team

Desperately need someone to attend the meeting Thursday evening at Laurel High School. Meeting begins at 7pm.  Can  someone please represent the team for 1 night?

Registration for last year's team members will begin April 16. Please register at HAC.

New swimmers- new swimmers must be evaluated

    Swam for a high school team

   Swam for a club team- CAC, NACC, CBAC, etc...

  Swam for a different summer league team last summer

New swimmers- registration begins May 1. 

We need parent volunteers to run the computer at our home meets, stroke and turn officials, last years stroke and turn need to go for a refresher course.

Practice begins the Tuesday after Memorial Day- 

  5-5:45 for 10 and younger swimmers

6- 7:15 for 11 - 18 year old swimmers
